Yellow Bird

Yellow Bird (Peo-peo-mox-mox or Peopeomoxmox) was a chief in the Walla Walla tribe. He was present during the 1855 treaty council of the Yakima War period. He was later killed and mutilated that same year by Oregon Volunteers who were holding him hostage during the Battle of Walla Walla.1
